This was written at a time when Cairngorm was threatened with a damaging extension to the skiing grounds

HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY MOUNTAIN

Has anybody seen my mountain?  It used to stand just about here
It isn't very beautiful, it's had a hard, hard time, but it's been a sort of friend of mine for years
Has anybody seen my mountain?  It's wounded and the wolves are closing in.
And it has no voice to cry,
Does it really have to die,
Will I never see my mountain again?

Used to be my favourite place, used to be my mountain
I used to love you for just the way you were, I wouldn't change a thing
But change is the name of the game we all lose and I can't find you, now,
Let me know if you think I can do anything.

Hello Mrs Ptarmigan, Ma'am, have you seen my mountain?
And by the way, what's that paper you have there, underneath your wing?
They've told you to leave and give vacant possession of this place?  Hmm.
Let me know if you think I can do anything

Tell me Mr Boulder, Sir, have you seen my mountain?
You've been around for so many, many years and you see everything
I can't believe what you say, some machine's on the way to collect you, now.
Let me know if you think I can do anything.

Good day Master Wind my friend, have you seen my mountain?
You get around every mountain you can find, and you see everything
Well I'm sorry your song has to change to the whine of the cables, Ooee,
Let me know if you think I can do anything.
